Single Service Award

Entry Tips / Eligibility Information

  • Use the current official "Single Service Award" report form as the cover sheet / first page.

  • Fill out the entire report form. Have the appropriate certification signatures on the form. Our district is Pennsylvania.

  • List total service hours involved.

  • List the actual number of club members paid as of December 1, 2007 and February 1, 2008. Membership numbers are subject to verification with Key Club International dues records.

  • List the correct average number of members.

  • Mark the correct membership category (bronze, silver, gold, or platinum) for your Key Club.

  • Refer to section "A" in the current "Guidebook" (page 21) to see if the project qualifies as a single service project.

  • Make sure the project was developed and performed after the March 2007 PA District Key Club Convention.

  • Begin each category listed under section "D" in the "Guidebook" (page 21) on a new page and have a heading specifying the category being described. This makes for an impressive report.


Category Judging Criteria Tips Check List

  • Service Need—State the need; list the methods and steps taken to determine the need.

  • Project Plan—Describe how the project was organized, the time frame, projected costs, service hours, resources needed, etc.

  • Project Implementation—Describe the steps taken to carry out the plan.

  • Final Results—Describe the benefits of the service rendered, the number of individuals served by the project, the impact on the school and community, and long term benefits.

  • Public Awareness—Describe how the project was publicized.

  • Member Participation—Report the percentage of club members who participated.
