Distinguished Requirements

2011-12 DISTINGUISHED CLUB OFFICER REQUIREMENTS

In January 2011, the Pennsylvania District Board voted to change the policy code regarding the distinguished club officer requirements. The new requirements will be as follows:

The Pennsylvania District Distinguished Club Officer program shall provide recognition to individual club officers for their performance. (Note: Club officers do not need to apply for this award. It will be awarded to the officer if all requirements are met.)

Thomas Muchler Distinguished Club President’s Award

In order for a Club President to be recognized as distinguished, the individual must:

  1. Be officially trained as defined in the statement at the end of this section.*
  2. Complete designated section in monthly report and ensure club secretary submits six (6) monthly reports that are emailed and postmarked to the District Secretary/Treasurer and respective Lieutenant Governor by the report deadline.
  3. Have Key Club conduct one (1) event for the District Youth Serving Youth Project and submit the "Club President YSY Project Completion Form" by the designated date to the District Secretary/Treasurer.
  4. Ensure that all other club officers are distinguished.

Distinguished Club Vice President’s Award

In order for a Club Vice President to be recognized as distinguished, the individual must:

  1. Be officially trained as defined by the statement at the end of this section.*
  2. Complete designated section in monthly report and ensure club secretary submits six (6) monthly reports that are emailed and postmarked to the District Secretary/Treasurer and respective Lieutenant Governor by the report deadline.

Distinguished Club Secretary Award

In order for a Club Secretary to be recognized as distinguished, the individual must:

  1. Be officially trained as defined in the statement at the end of this section.*
  2. Submit a Club Officer Election report form that is e-mailed and postmarked to the District Administrator on or before September 30th.
  3. Complete designated section in monthly report and submit six (6) monthly reports that are emailed and postmarked to the District Secretary/Treasurer and respective Lieutenant Governor by the report deadline.

Distinguished Club Treasurer Award

In order for a Club Treasurer to be recognized as distinguished, the individual must:

  1. Be officially trained as defined in the statement at the end of this section.*
  2. District and International Dues must be submitted before November 1st – Early Bird Dues Deadline. (Note: The Key Club International Dues Report will be used to determine submission date.)
  3. Complete designated section in monthly report and ensure club secretary submits six (6) monthly reports that are emailed and postmarked to the District Secretary/Treasurer and respective Lieutenant Governor by the report deadline.

Distinguished Club Bulletin Editor Award

In order for Club Bulletin Editor to be recognized as distinguished, the individual must:

  1. Be officially trained as defined in the statement at the end of this section.*
  2. Complete designated section in monthly report and ensure club secretary submits six (6) monthly reports that are emailed and postmarked to the District Secretary/Treasurer and respective Lieutenant Governor by the report deadline.

Distinguished Club Webmaster Award

In order for a Club Webmaster to be recognized as distinguished, the individual must:

  1. Be officially trained as defined in the statement at the end of this section.*
  2. Complete designated section in monthly report and ensure club secretary submits six (6) monthly reports that are emailed and postmarked to the District Secretary/Treasurer and respective Lieutenant Governor by the report deadline.

Distinguished Club Bulletin Editor/Webmaster Award

If a club has a person fulfilling the responsibilities and duties of the Webmaster and Bulletin Editor as a combined position, then is award applies. In order for a Club Bulletin Editor/Webmaster to be recognized as distinguished, the individual must:

  1. Be officially trained as defined in the statement at the end of this section.*
  2. Complete designated section in monthly report and ensure club secretary submits six (6) monthly reports that are emailed and postmarked to the District Secretary/Treasurer and respective Lieutenant Governor by the report deadline.

*To be officially trained means that a Club Officer has attended a Zone or Divisional Training Conference led by a Zone Administrator. A District Officer may train a Club Officer with the permission from a Zone Administrator. This training will then count as one of the criteria for distinguished status. Training must be completed by December 1st in order to count toward distinguished criteria.
